Meet Our Counselors and Staff

R. Denice Colson, PhD, LPC, MAC, CPCS

Mrs. Colson is trained as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Master Addiction Counselor, who has contributed to the counseling field since 1982. Author of Stop Treating Symptoms and Start Resolving Trauma! Inside-Out Healing for Survivors of ALL Types.  She is a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor through the LPCA of Georgia. She takes a limited number of clients and speaks at luncheons, seminars and other group functions. Visit her training, speaking and supervision site at www.TraumaEducation.com . She is a State Approved DUI Evaluator and Treatment Provider. Also, a Prime Solutions provider, and Certified BrainTek Practicioner.

Terry Hash, MS, LPC

Mr. Hash is the Pastoral Care Minister at Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church, and began serving in the counseling field in 1993. He specializes in marital, pre-marital, and trauma related concerns.

Jennifer Teague, MA, LPC
Mrs. Teague, a licensed counselor who has an MA in Psychology and a Master’s in Christian Counseling is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Mrs. Teague has 20+ years experience working with clients of all ages from various backgrounds. She has a wealth of knowledge and insight regarding counseling abused and neglected adolescent girls. Mrs. Teague has office hours in Conyers and McDonough.

Tommy Snow, PhD, CTSS, CCDVC
Dr. Snow holds PhDs in Clinical Christian Psychology and Christian Domestic Violence Intervention Therapy. He specializes in Conflict Resolution, Anger Management, Domestic Violence, and trauma related concerns.

Kathy Hale, LCSW


Kathy is a licensed social worker who works with children, young adolescents, and their parents.

Jill Osborne, MS EdS, LPC, RPT, RPT-S
Jill specializes in play therapy, trauma, and child and adolescent therapy. She authored “Sam Feels Better Now, an Interactive Story for Children.” She currently is pursuing certification as a Registered Play Therapist and manages a successful blog. Tiffany Starnes, MEd, LPC, NCC

Mrs. Starnes has a unique style working with couples, individuals, premarital counseling, and blended families. Her experience with individuals needing substance abuse treatment, smoking cessation, pain management, and people struggling with issues of life transition, anxiety, stress, depression, grief and loss, sex related issues and self-esteem, make her an asset to ELCCC.

Amanda Walden, MA, LPC, NCC

Amanda Walden is a licensed counselor with a Master’s degree in Community Counseling.  She has over eight years experience in the counseling field with a background of working with clients of all ages.  Ms. Walden has extensive experience in working with victims of domestic violence.  She has office hours in Conyers and McDonough.

Kimberly Wallace, MA, LPC

Ms. Wallace obtained her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University Online. She served twelve years in local church education and discipleship. She is able to take clients at affordable rates in Conyers and McDonough.

Ashley Carr, MA, LAPC
Ashley received her MA in Professional Counseling in Marriage and Family therapy and her MA in Human Services and Marriage and Family from Liberty University. She is under supervision for a license as a Licensed Professional Counselor. She also has 10 years + in church student ministry and discipleship. She focuses much of her interest on adolescents and their families.  She is able to take clients at affordable rates in our McDonough Office. She is under the direct supervision of Denice Colson, PhD, LPC, MAC, CPCS.
Brandon Browne, MA, LPC
Brandon has been in ministry for 10 years working with youth and their parents. He has a passion for marriage counseling and for combat veterans. He is married and has a young daughter.
Christyn Walker, MA, LAPC
Christyn Walker completed her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling at Liberty University and is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor, earning hours towards full licensure. She counsels individuals, couples, and groups. Ms. Walker specializes in trauma and addiction. She has experience working in trauma therapy using the Strategic Trauma and Abuse Recovery (STAR) model, leading psychoeducational groups for domestic violence victims and substance abuse, and is pursuing licensure as an addictions counselor.  She is under the direct supervision of Denice Colson, PhD, LPC, MAC, CPCS.
Sonya Snow, M.A.
Sonya is a graduate of Liberty University. She is under the direct supervision of Denice Colson, PhD, LPC, MAC, CPCS, working toward being a Licensed Professional Counselor. Sonya works with adults and adolescents and specializes in Trauma Recovery using Strategic Trauma & Abuse Recovery.
Ruby Jenkins, MS
Ruby is a graduate of Liberty University. She is under the direct supervision of Denice Colson, PhD, LPC, MAC, CPCS. Ruby works with adults, adolescents, and children. Mrs. Jenkins sees clients in our McDonough office and in our Jackson/Flovilla office. (Currently accepting new clients in Flovilla only.)
Executive Director

Jessica Loper, MS

Jessica is a graduate of Clayton State University in Clinical Psychology. She is under the direct supervision of Denice Colson, PhD, LPC, MAC, CPCS, working toward being a Licensed Professional Counselor. She works with adults, adolescents, and children. She works with addiction and does non-DUI Substance Use Evaluations and substance abuse treatment.
